I am a flute specialist, able to teach both flute and piccolo and as an enthusiastic teacher I am keen to share my passion and knowledge! I can teach anyone from complete beginners up to grade 8+ standard and will happily take on anyone of any age! Whether you want to learn to play the flute just for fun or with the aim of working towards graded examinations, I believe I can cater to your needs. Having experience in preparing both myself and others for ABSRM examinations, I predominately teach to the ABRSM syllabus however should you prefer to take examinations with other exam boards this is not a problem.
Lessons will have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to allow pupils to reach their full potential whilst getting enjoyment out of their music-making. I offer tuition in preparation for the ABRSM grade 5 music theory exam (which is required to progress to your grade 6 practical), if you need help right from the start or just a little extra guidance in the run up to your exam.
With my recent knowledge and experience in education, I can also offer extra help with GCSE/A-Level music for those needing a bit of extra guidance with the curriculum or those who really want to achieve the top grades.
