About Rhys

Hi, I'm Rhys and I am a fourth year medical student, at the University of Nottingham. I've been in education for most of my life and thus feel in a good position from which to help others in furthering their education. I'm pretty laid back in life, but know when to kick it up a notch and push myself (and others) to succeed in my goals. If you have any questions about me, feel free to get in touch and I'll try to answer as best as I can.

Availability: I am available most weekends, and late weekday evenings. This is my general availability though, and as such am willing to be flexible depending on circumstances.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive experience working in primary schools. This experience has amounted to several weeks per year, during the summer term during which I'd work with the children in small group teaching; supporting struggling students on a 1 to 1 basis and acting as a teaching assistant during class teaching. I've been a swimming teacher for 7 years, having started as a volunteer and worked my way up to a fully qualified and accredited teacher. Although the environment is different, the core principles of successful teaching remain the same. During my Degree, I have tutored my friends in preparation for exams on several occasions to a great deal of success. I have been a tutor for medical students in the lower years since my second year, and have been selected on numerous occasions to run further teaching sessions.  I've been in education for over 16 years now... Who better to know what teaching has worked and what hasn't than to have been on the receiving end of it!
