My Information

I have a Ph.D. in History and an M.A. in English Language and Literature. Languages are my hobby and I speak German fluently, and Scottish Gaelic, French and Japanese at higher intermediate level.

I am a trained musician (singing, violin, piano). I live in Stirling with a husband and two cats.

Availability: In and around Stirling, by agreement.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught Scottish History at Aberdeen, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities.

I now teach various Humanities subjects (Literature, History, Art History, Philosophy, Music) as well as Creative Writing for the Open University.

I speak German fluently and have taught it at University level. I have taught Latin at University level, and can also teach basic Scottish Gaelic and basic Japanese.

In addition, I am confident in teaching music notation. I have a lot of experience teaching face to face, but am also very confident in teaching online.
