I am an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated individual who is passionate about ensuring every student has the best environment, to develop the English listening, speaking and writing skills. I thrive on new challenges and have demonstrated my ability to act as a reflective practitioner. I am driven to teach people with English as an additional language and making learning accessible to everyone. Teaching to me is about inspiring students to reach their full potential and providing them with the skills they need to reach these goals. I am devoted to working with these and guiding their learning. I currently teach at the British International School in Cairo. I have developed a secure knowledge of the curriculum, alongside knowledge of how excellent teaching practice is underpinned by a critical application. From this foundation, I use my enthusiasm, energy and creativity to produce engaging, inclusive and purposeful lessons. The importance of inclusion has always been evident both in my current position. My class caters for a vast range learning styles and abilities. I also have a number of students with special learning needs who are provided with one to one adult support as well as resources. I work collaboratively with the SEN co-ordinator’s and understand the value of integrating and including every student; I incorporate this when planning all my lessons. I see myself as a very positive person who hopefully transfers these feelings to those around me. Teaching to me is more than a job; I have full drive and commitment as it is something I feel passionately about. I always take tasks on board with a positive attitude and am willing to help others. I am an extremely self-motivated person who does things because I see that they should be done not because I have been asked to do so, linking to my ability to use my initiative, be proactive and always be prepared for possible situations.
