About Karenna

I'm a cheerful, reliable and enthusiastic (QTS) Secondary school Art Teacher. Due to my additional educational background as an Art Therapy Practitioner, I can instigate a calm and nurturing atmosphere with challenging behaviour whilst maintaining a creative, inspiring, and imaginative working environment.

I believe that creativity is the innovator and carrier of change in a humanitarian society. Creativity is a valuable skill that can not only educate a student in the arts but also aid them in their understanding of how they identify themselves in response to their community.

As such, I like to create innovative and culturally diverse Schemes of Work which aim to introduce new skills, concepts and techniques, engaging and expanding the creativity of the students.

By exploring art from many different cultures I hope to provide lessons which not only underpin students with a good grounding of art history, but which celebrates diversity both locally and globally.
