Hello, my name is Mary. I am a positive and experienced tutor of languages and science for all ages. I like to teach in an interactive, fun way and I always try a variety of activities to get to know how each student learns best.
I am a graduate of biological sciences and Spanish with teaching and tutoring experience.
The thing I most enjoy about teaching is watching students grow in confidence as they make progress. I am passionate and confident in all the subject areas that I offer. Please read on if you would like to know more about my academic background and teaching experience.

Tutoring Experience:
I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 BA degree in Biology and Spanish in 2016. My degree included a year abroad in Spain which I spent working as an English language assistant in a primary school and giving private tutoring to teenagers and adults.
During this year I was also able to gain fluency in the Spanish language and experience the culture. In my final year at University in Liverpool I worked for the English Language Centre running the conversation clubs and social programme.
I have since worked as a secondary school science teacher under the Teach First graduate programme, teaching biology, chemistry and physics at key stage 3 and GCSE level.
In my current role as an English as an additional language instructor I support secondary school students to access the curriculum through providing English and science intervention.
