I am a second year chemistry student who has over 2 years' tutoring experience - paid and voluntary. Having a positive attitude and the required level of enthusiasm, coupled with easily understandable methods of teaching, I am able to make learning enjoyable and memorable. This is one of the reasons why my students do well. I believe the key to being a good tutor is developing a rapport with students, making them confident in confiding in me and answering questions without the need to feel shy of getting the wrong answer, which in turn makes them learn from where they went wrong. Additionally, being able to relate to them is critical, which I find easy to do since I was in their shoes merely a few years ago. I have more than two years’ experience working with children, from voluntarily aiding primary students in their reading, to privately tutoring GCSE students in maths, as well as working in a tuition centre.
