After completing a 5 year degree in English Language and Literature in Kaliningrad (Russian Federation), I came to UK in 1996 to do an MA in Linguistics at York University. I have been living in Yorkshire ever since. I also have a Postgraduate Diploma in Interpreting and Translating for International Business (Bradford), a PGCE in Modern Languages (Russian) and in 2018 I completed a course in Methods of Teaching Russian to Bilingual Children (Moscow State University).

I have been working in the higher education sector since 2003 as a project officer and events coordinator. However, I also worked across community and secondary level education since 2000 teaching both English and Russian as a foreign language.
