I am currently doing my doctorate studies in Public Health and Environmental Epidemiology. I hold a MSc in Public Health Nutrition (with merit) from London Metropolitan University and a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece.
I am also a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition. I have been working as a nutritionist for ten years in Greece and the UK.
I have five years in-house and distance learning postgraduate teaching experience in academic institutions. I have also been involved in various research projects, have had poster and oral presentations in conferences and published papers and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.
Availability: I am available evenings and over the weekend for face to face or online teaching
Willing to travel: Home Only
Tutoring Experience:
Although I have no formal qualification in teaching, I have taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students in Nutrition and Dietetics as well as Public Health and Epidemiology courses for seven years.
I have a solid background in the use and application of statistical methods in Epidemiology and other health related disciplines (i.e. Nutrition, Medicine).
I can therefore provide strong tutoring support in epidemiology and statistics for public health and policy (ie. summary statistics or more advanced statistical methods, such as multivariate analysis and regression modelling using STATA or SPSS).
In addition, I can guide students in research projects (coursework and thesis) and assist in writing research papers.
