Tutoring Experience:
Ive spent my teaching career, teaching in two different schools in London, where Ive taught Health & Social Care, CACHE, Childcare, Psychology and Special Needs. I was Head of Department for 8 years and decided to opt for a change and now current;y teaching in a sixth form college in West London.
I have vast knowledge of various Health and Social Care qualifications and specifications. To extend my knowledge of assessment, I act as Principal Examiner for the Welsh Joint Education Committee (WJEC). As part of my role, I oversee Assistant Moderators and ensure WJEC protocol is adhered to.
During my time working for the exam board, I have been a part of developing new specifications and also resources for the Welsh Grid for Learning, which have now been turned into interactive teaching resources. My teaching method is dynamic and I like to use a range of activities to help support learning. I believe in using various approaches to teaching, which facilitate the active participation of students and involve them fully in their group and individual learning. .
