I am a 28 year old post-doctoral research associate at the university of Bristol. I gained a first class undergraduate degree in Genetics, then a PhD in developmental Neuroscience at 25. I strongly believe that the crucial component contributing towards academic success is gaining a real understanding of how things work, rather than superficially memorising information.
