I am currently finishing my PhD in history researching the impact of Industrialisation within a Derbyshire community. During my PhD I have taught at university level and have gained experience with the A level curriculum offering advice to pupils in the transition to university. I have taught in subjects ranging from 'how to study history' to more specific topics such as the British Empire, the First World War, and 20th century European history. My interests are varied with particular interest in 18th and 19th-century British and European history, the interwar period and the politics of the Second World War.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
I have taught individual students, and given lectures at university as a post-graduate lecturing assistant as part of my PhD funding. I have also undertaken one-to-one tutorials for students and always seek to ensure that they are given the skills to help themselves. I have a genuine love for the subject and enjoy interaction with new ideas and ways of thinking about the past.
