As an active composer and performing musician myself, I always strive to ignite and encourage a deep longterm passion for music. I teach the piano and music theory up to ABRSM Grade 8 level. I am also very happy to teach composition, orchestration and other practical musical disciplines - including the use of Sibelius software.
I also offer coaching for students preparing for GCSE and A level exams in music and am available as an accompanist for instrumentalists and singers: for exams, for exam and audition preparation - as well as general coaching and performance.
I have a PhD in Musical Composition from the Universty of Bristol (where I studied with Dr Robert Saxton and Prof. Raymond Warren) - and I also previously earned my BA and an MA in 20th Century Music at the same institution.
I later received a Polish government scholarship to study in Warsaw with Prof. Włodzimierz Kotoński at Warsaw's Chopin Academy (now renamed as the Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin Musical University - 'Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie') and I have also studied orchestral and operatic conducting with Diego Masson and Bogusław Madey.
