currently enjoy a busy and varied career as a freelance orchestral player, chamber musician (as a member of the Darlinghurst Duo), and teacher. I am currently on trial as a tutti member of the Hallé Orchestra. Forthcoming appearances include concerts at the Canberra International Music Festival with ACO2 and the Wallfisch Band, duo recitals in Manchester and London, and summer festivals and mastercourses in Italy, Denmark, Germany, and Scotland. Primarily based in Manchester, I work regularly with Opera North and chamber orchestra Ruthless Jabiru, as well as with the Hallé Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s ACO2. Other orchestras I have performed with include the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Chamber Opera, Australian World Orchestra, and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. During my studies, I also participated in a number of high profile programmes for young artists, including the Foyle Future First Scheme of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme. As a student, I was the principal cellist of the Australian Youth Orchestra, and a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra. Other orchestral training included work with the Sydney Symphony Sinfonia, and participation in the Orchestral Experience Schemes of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Manchester Camerata.
