About Emily

I graduated from Aberystywth University with a 2:1 degree in English Literature. I have been tutoring since 2012 and have been very successful (see my experience). I completed the `School Direct` teaching programme, where out of over 200 applicants, only two of us where offered places. I finished with the top grade of `outstanding` QTS. I am very self-learned with a broad knowledge of different topics. I am more than happy to do off jobs such as checking through coursework, personnel statements for University or anything else you need help with.

Availability: I have 2 evening slots left (Monday 7:45 and Thursday 7:30) and 3 daytime tutoring slots left however if you would like to be put on the waiting list I am more than happy to help! I`m currently taking bookings for summer tuition and September tuition. I also do prior morning school tutoring. E.g - 7-8am. If this is something you are interested in please state in your message. Ideally, I am also specialised in home-schooling during the day. If this is an option you are considering please do not hesitate to contact me for any advice. I also offer to go into your child`s school to offer my services in 1:1 lessons if you feel your child needs this if they are struggling to keep up with the class or you feel they are ahead and you want to maintain this progress. I am available over the summer holidays! Booster sessions are a great way to increase your child`s confidence when they are starting a new year and even a new school! Alternatively, if you feel you would rather have a lesson over skype this is also something that can be arranged.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Tutoring Experience:

I have a degree in English Literature, during which I took modules in History and self-taught myself classics and religion. I also have a PGCE in teaching. I am very passionate about humanity subjects and I would love to share my love for them. All my students I tutor for SAT`s improve well. E.G-predicted level 3 or 4 my students have achieved level 5`s in some instances. My students in secondary school studying for GCSE and A-levels can sometimes miss the key thing that could help them hit top grades.

I have never had a student achieve less than a B. Also in some instances I have helped students raise their grades from U or E to A and A*. Anybody studying at degree or perhaps you are someone returning back to education can be slightly daunted. This is something I will help you through and support your education so you can achieve the best you can.

I also have been successful in publishing my own revision packs for students revision. 2016 - Kings College London – Caring For People With Psychosis and Schizophrenia The Open University - Understanding Dyslexia 2015 - NSPCC Recruitment Programme 2015 - Counselling Children and Adolescents Diploma 2014 - Chester University - PGCE and QTS 2012 - TA NFCE Level 2 and 3 2009-2012 - Aberystwyth University - 2:1 BA (Hons) English Literature
