My Information

I am a patient persistent tutor with extensive up to date experience of preparing pupils for the 11 plus exams. I too have experience of teaching Maths KS2 / KS3 and GCSE levels.

Much of my experience was gained working for a busy tutoring Academy. Some 52 pupils from fourteen different Primary schools across my borough attend this programme to prepare for secondary school entrance exams. I tutored students 1-2-1 and also in groups of up to 15.

Although time was spent covering important topics emphasis was also put on working though numerous Maths English Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning practice questions. I too have worked with secondary school pupils and tutor level KS3 and GCSE. I do know the competition and specifically design classes to cover every eventuality, and give students the best chance possible.

My studies and work in Chartered Accountancy involved calculating, evaluating and analysing figures. Investigating mathematical problems and forming practical solutions. Key ingredients to this was having a good understanding and background in Maths.

My experience has taught me to distinguish between and link knowing how to do maths with understanding why. My teaching approach adopts these principles, as i help students to reason ,think logically and enjoy maths. Classes are provided in an environment to boost confidence and competence.
