About Hazel

I graduated with a First Class Degree in Music and achieved 3 A* in Economics, Business Studies, and Music. I also hold a 8.0 IELTS qualification. I have been tutoring piano, music, economics and English as foreign language in the last 6 years. I started my music education at the age of three and was admitted to the Vietnam National Academy of Music by the age of six. Developing a controlled, prodigious technique, I have been praised for authority over the most complex technically demanding pieces, the depth of musical insight and charismatic stage presence. Receiving a full scholarship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, I graduated with a First-class degree.

Recently, I was awarded Worthing Pianist of The Year. At Brighton Springboard Music Festival, I won the Senior Championship, as well as the senior concerto class. As a result, I will be performing as a soloist with Brighton Youth Orchestra and Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra in the next season. My virtuosic recording of Beethoven's Bagatelle op.33 no.5 was played on BBC Radio 3.

In Glasgow, producing the best performance of a Mozart Concerto, I was awarded Jock Holden Memorial Trophy.I won the Rosanne Archibald prize for the most promising musician at Blackburn Music Festival, and was a winner at Glasgow Rising Star competition last year. I often performs locally, in the North West and Scotland. As a collaborative pianist, I am a member of the O'Breachain Trio, and our latest debut features the great Mendelssohn's Trio in D minor, Haydn's Gypsy trio and Bach Keyboard Concertos.
