I am based in the Newcastle-Gateshead region and I offer face-to-face tuition to anyone in this area. I can travel to you or you are more than welcome to come to my house where we can study (and you can meet my cats if you want to). I an fully DBS checked and I can provide my latest disclosure upon request. I also offer online tuition, which I am qualified in, for people living outside my region. Online teaching can take a variety of forms, such as: FaceTime, Skype, GoogleHangouts, Moodle, instant messaging and others. I can provide single one-off lessons as well as short and longer term regular classes. Our classes can either be intensive with lots of lessons in a short time (for example if you are preparing for an exam, interview or completing an assignment), or more relaxed with one or two classes per week for a longer period. Tutoring Experience:
After completing my A-levels at high school with A and B grades, I studied history at Durham University (with a short period reading Geology and then Philosophy as well)! After I graduated in 2008 I qualified as an English language teacher with the CELTA programme and I began work in early 2009 in southern China. I worked in various language schools across China until 2011 when I moved to Moscow. There, I continued to teach English as a second language to students of all ages both in classes and one-to-one. I also gained valuable experience teaching exam English classes such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, FCE, CAE and CPE. While in Russia, I began teaching business English as well which included banking, finance, legal English and other areas. I also taught international students at schools in the UK, Europe, USA and The Middle East. Finally, in 2014 I returned to northeast England where I studied for a diploma and I was awarded the Cambridge delta qualification. Since 2014 I have been working in language schools in the region teaching English of all levels from beginner A1 to proficiency C2 to adults and young learners. I continue to teach general English, exam skills and techniques, academic English, business English, aviation English and other courses to people from all over the world. I also have extensive experience of school tutoring at KS3, GCSE, AS and A levels through all of the exam board curricula. My subjects are: history, English, religious studies, geography and business. I have about 10 years experience teaching and I can provide you with references and testimonials from one-to-one clients as well as schools.
