I'm a Cambridge graduate, who attended the two top fee-paying schools in the country. But despite my highly academic background, I believe in making learning collaborative and conversational. Children and teenagers put up with enough dictatorial rules in school - learning outside of that environment should be about developing an interest in the subject and the skills to challenge and engage with arguments, as well as learning the facts. I've worked as a music festival journalist and the producer of a philosophy festival, as well as running a creche and teaching English in Japan. I strongly believe that anything can be interesting if you think about it in the right way - and everything can be fun if you learn how to laugh at it!

Two months of intensive, full-time tutoring of disadvantaged Japanese students. I taught English, philosophy and helped to raise aspirations. Two years of running the creche at the Chelsea Arts Club, where I entertained and taught younger children in a very hectic environment. I was the sole adult responsible for up to 15 under-12s. I've been a tutor for Titanium Tutors for about a year, and have successfully taught students both formally and informally.
