About Daniel

"Daniel was exceptional in helping me with a large amount of material within a short space of time. He was patient, easy to understand and very accommodating. Definitely worth the cost! " "Great tutor! I was really struggling with a couple of topics for my module which I had an exam on. Daniel knows his stuff and explained everything clearly and was patient when I didn`t understand, plus his punctuality was perfect." I am a tutor based in the Brighton and Hove area, with a vast wealth of experience and strong qualifications, and would be thrilled to help you with your academic issues.

My primary topics are Mathematics and Physics, having recently obtained my First Class Master`s degree in these subjects, however I am comfortable at tutoring subjects from engineering to economics. I have long held a passion for these two subjects, not only do I find them interesting but also fun, and I find that I am able to pick out those exciting topics to demonstrate that these are not subjects that only exist in dusty old textbooks, but are exciting today. In my sessions I attempt to incorporate ideas outside of the syllabus as well, I believe that we do not learn by what we are told to but rather by what we enjoy! It is amazing to see a student get enamoured by a topic that would be deemed too challenging for the curriculum.

This may seem unnecessary for exam preparation, but I argue that by increasing your knowledge all round, then your comprehension of examinable material is greatly improved. I am happy to tutor any level from GCSE to PhD and am adept at tutoring both online and in person. I charge £25ph for face to face tuition and ONLY £20ph for online tuition. Feel free to message me with any questions!

Availability: I am available all weekdays, both during the day and evenings. I may also be available some times on weekends, however this is something that we would have to discuss.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Tutoring Experience:

My initial experience was at the age of 16, where I tutored GCSE maths to great success. My next step was involved in a physics society scheme to help first years transit into university level maths and physics. Next up is a role I still hold as Senior Mentor at a 2 week long Space School in summer, this included writing and delivering my own lectures. More recently I have been involved in online tutoring through another website, tutoring maths and physics to A level and university students. This has led to my current profession as a self employed tutor. Meanwhile I have been involved in a leadership program run by Eton College with students in china, again over the internet.
