Tutoring Experience:

My initial training was in MFL(French). My teaching practices have given me some valuable teaching experience. At Newbridge a mixed comprehensive 11-18 school, I had particular success with a special needs class who Improved their confidence in languages tremendously during my placement. I believe this success is due to my ability to differentiate tasks in order to enable the least able to achieve During my placement at Lewis Pengam, 11-18 boys’ comprehensive school, I was able to learn about effective planning and teaching for boys. I have studied strategies for assessment for learning and in particular I have been working on producing a bank of resources which will be useful for me in any post. In particular I have created a bank of starter activities. This has all built on my experiences as a TEFL teacher and a teacher of adult evening classes in Paris and I am keen to bring my vast experiences to the department I eventually work in. My heads of department in my placement schools have valued the contributions I have made as my references will back up.
