I am a passionate and enthusiastic English teacher; I have a deep love for English literature and language and I endeavour to communicate this to students. I am second in English and lead English intervention teacher who specialises in helping students make the grades they require. I work in Sandwell teaching KS3 and 4 English and I have a PGCE and a BA(hons) in English and Psychology.
I specialise in KS3 and KS4 English with all new 9-1 GCSE exam boards and as well as basic skills literacy and numeracy. I have a proven track record of success at GCSE and all pupils within my classes achieve their expected grades or better. Previous to my teaching role I worked as a tutor for students who had SEN and I have extensive knowledge of teaching students who have learning difficulties.

I believe tutoring should explore the strengths and weaknesses of a student and I am to use diagnostics to address all aspects of a student's understanding. I endeavour to not only develop a student's skills as well as passion fur the subject. I have been teaching for 7 years now. Each academic year I have taught I have had successful results with all of the classes that I teach and with a number of examination boards. I have expereince delivering intervention in a 1-1 and group setting. Previous to my teaching career I was a basic skills and life skills tutor working with post 16.
