My Information

I am a fully qualified Teacher of English (11-18 yrs) with seven years’ experience of privately tutoring a variety of students ranging anything from 5 to 19 years of age. Although English Literature and Language are my specialist subjects, I do tutor in basic numeracy and literacy for KS1, 2 and 3. I am also well versed in preparing many children for the 11+ entrance exam for both Reading Boys and Kendrick School. I am currently only able to tutor at my residence . I also hold a current CRB Enhanced Disclosure. The rate for GCSE is £27.50 per hour. The rate is slightly lower for Key Stage 3 tutoring and slightly higher for A Level.

Availability: Weeknights between 6-9pm

Qualified English Teacher with 11 years teaching experience - Educated to Postgraduate level; with a Postgraduate Diploma in English and Language in Education from The University of Reading (achieved a Merit). Broad range of skills acquired in Language and Literature teaching Ability to teach English Literature, English Language, Media and Film Studies up to A Level Multifaceted approach to planning, teaching and marking for both lower ability groups as well as high achieving classes. Feedback from OfSTED indicates teaching concentrated groups, as well providing individual support, to be a clear strength; within my pedagogical practice.
